This year’s Corn Palace Festival officially kicks off today. Part of Main Street was shut down yesterday so the carnival could set up. The Midway will open at 7 due to the heat, while concessions will begin to be sold at 5 PM.
The entertainment lineup on Friday features country artist Michael Ray. Opening for Ray will be Dylan Marlowe.
Saturday night will feature 80’s rock music from Broadway’s Rock of Ages band.
There will be rides, games, food vendors, exhibits, a farmer’s market on Thursday night, a kid’s pedal pull on Saturday, and free music at the Corn Palace Plaza throughout the festival.
