The Mitchell City Council meets at 6 PM at City Hall in downtown Mitchell.

The agenda includes action to approve a host agreement and easement for an electric vehicle charging station to be installed in the 5th and Rowley city parking lot. The issue was discussed at a city council meeting in September when it was proposed that the charging station be installed in the city parking lot at 7th and Rowley. Concerns were raised about the charging station taking up parking spaces behind an active retail business and in a parking lot used for Corn Palace events. The item was tabled so a new location could be found. The easement would grant Northwestern Energy permission to use a portion of the 5th and Rowley parking lot for the station.

Also on the agenda is action to approve an agreement with Randall Community Water District for a secondary water source for the city.  Everson says the city has looked at several options.

Tonight’s Mitchell City Council meeting is open to the public. It is also televised and streamed online. The complete agenda can be found here: https://mitchellsd.portal.civicclerk.com/event/1161/files.
