MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Dakota State University President José-Marie Griffiths has announced this academic year will be her last leading the university. Griffiths, who’s served since 2015, will move into a newly created position as DSU’s first-ever chancellor — a role designed to expand the school’s national leadership in cybersecurity. The South Dakota Board of Regents says she’ll continue guiding DSU through her final year while preparing for the transition. Board President Tim Rave praised Griffiths for transforming DSU into a national leader in cyber education. A presidential search will be announced later.
