Davison County Commission to hold Feb. 17 meeting in Mitchell; liquor license hearing, rural water land discussion on agenda

MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Davison County Board of Commissioners will hold its next regular meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Commissioners Room at the North Offices Building, 1420 N. Main St., in Mitchell.

Commissioners are scheduled to approve the agenda and prior meeting minutes before taking citizen input and board reports, according to the posted agenda.

Items listed for discussion include a District III update from Lori Cowman, a liquor license hearing for Legacy Pointe and a conversation with Davison Rural Water regarding a possible land purchase.

Later in the meeting, Auditor and Human Resources Director Kathy Wingert is slated to present employee changes and an appointment related to fire-suppression assistance. Physical Plant Director Joel Rang is also scheduled to discuss a proposed storage addition at the Davison County Fairgrounds.

The agenda also lists miscellaneous motions, approval of bills and other routine business before adjournment
