MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Davison County Commission moved quickly through a packed agenda this week. According to a news release, commissioners approved a $315,000 bridge construction contract and signed off on the county’s five-year highway plan. They also talked safety at the Highway 37 and 257th Street intersection, with options like flashing caution lights and reduced speed limits on the table. 4-H gave an update on fairgrounds projects and outreach, while a Prosper Township bridge with railing concerns also came up. The board set an October 14th hearing for a special event liquor license, hired three new part-time corrections officers, and accepted the low diesel fuel bid from Coles Petroleum. The next session is set for September 23rd. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
