MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota high school juniors and seniors have a chance to experience state government firsthand by serving as legislative pages during the 2026 session. Applications are now open for the program, which runs January 12 through March 30. Pages assist with committee meetings, floor sessions, and other legislative duties, earning $55 per day while gaining hands-on civic experience. Students need sponsorship from a legislator, an application with cover letter, and two recommendation letters. The preferred deadline is October 3, with a final deadline of October 17.
