MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The new Corn Palace seats have arrived, and installation begins early next week. Crews are finishing floor repairs and will start measuring and marking on Monday. Officials told the Mitchell Republic the goal is to have all 1,500 seats in place before the Raise ’Em Rank bull ride on October 3rd. The black chairs will replace the original 1960s seating, offering more legroom and a taller back. City officials hope the upgrades will boost attendance and enhance experiences at the historic venue. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
