MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — South Dakota’s newly confirmed U.S. Attorney says his office is moving quickly to advance federal priorities targeting drug trafficking and transnational criminal networks. Confirmed by the U.S. Senate in October, this marks his second appointment as U.S. Attorney.

He said the Trump Administration has directed federal prosecutors nationwide to intensify efforts against drug cartels and major trafficking operations.

“The gloves are off in terms of going full speed ahead, full force against drug trafficking,” he said. “And the goal is nothing less than the total elimination of drug cartels and transnational criminal organizations in the United States.”
