No travel advised in Mitchell on Thursday; city and Davison County offices closed until noon

The Mitchell Police Department is recommending no travel in the City of Mitchell. Public Works will work to try maintaining emergency routes but continued heavy snow and strong winds are expected. Many streets in residential areas are becoming impassable. This is a dangerous storm and residents should not travel if at all possible. Updates will be released as they are available. Officers will be responding to emergency calls only during this time. Non-emergent calls that can be handled by phone will be addressed that way.

City offices will remain closed until noon on Thursday.

Davison County offices are closed until noon on Thursday.  They will re-evaluate at that time.
