Olivet Man Charged in Child Sex Abuse Case

OLIVET, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A 35-year-old Olivet man is facing serious felony charges after investigators say he sent explicit messages to a girl and later assaulted her. The Mitchell Republic reports that Jacob Constant has been indicted on counts including rape, aggravated incest, sexual contact with a child, and sexual exploitation of a minor. Authorities say the abuse began online and escalated over several months. Constant was formally indicted by a Hutchinson County grand jury on September 25.
