Rhoden Signs Bill for New State Prison

PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Governor Larry Rhoden says South Dakota’s new prison project marks “a huge win” for the state. On Tuesday, Rhoden signed Senate Bill 2, which clears the way for a new prison in Sioux Falls. He calls it the largest public safety investment in South Dakota’s history. The governor also signed an executive order creating a Correctional Rehabilitation Task Force to focus on inmate programs and rehabilitation efforts.
