SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Sioux Falls City Council has approved the 2026 budget totaling nearly 207-million dollars in general fund spending. This is the last budget City Councilor Curt Soehl will work on, and he says with revenues and expenses in flux, the process is extremely challenging. Council members passed a series of amendments to restore funding that was cut in the original plan in the areas of swimming pool and library hours, and economic development spending. Officials say they’re still concerned about the impact of property tax reform on city revenues. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
