SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) With a federal shutdown threatening SNAP benefits, Sioux Falls nonprofits are bracing for even greater demand. According to KELOLand, Church on the Street says its food pantry shelves are nearly bare after a recent giveaway, as USDA food supplies shrink. Faith Temple Food Giveaway served over 1,300 people last week and expects hundreds more if benefits stop November 1st. Both groups are urging the community to donate and reminding residents their doors remain open to anyone in need of food assistance. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
