Area Sports

Saturday’s Basketball Games

  • Mitchell Christian vs Burke at 11:30am (boys)
  • Andes Central/Dakota Christian vs Avon at 1pm (boys)
  • Scotland/Menno vs Tripp-Delmont/Armour at 2:30pm (boys)
  • Corsica-Stickney vs Gayville-Volin at 4pm (boys)
  • Kimball/White Lake @ Miller at 8pm (boys)

Mitchell

The Kernel boys wrestling team will have a busy day Saturday. They’ll be competing in their Varsity Regional Tournament (Region 3) just as the girls did yesterday, and they will do so at home. It’ll all go down in the Mitchell high school main gym and begin at 10am.

DWU

The Tiger basketball teams will play their final game of the regular season on Saturday. They’ll be out in Orange City, IA playing against Northwestern. The No. 9 women will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses and will play at 5pm followed by the men who play at 6:45pm.

The (RV) Tiger men’s wrestling team will continue on the mats Saturday in day two of the GPAC Championships in Orange City, IA. It is will start at 10am.

The Tiger track & field teams continue on for day two on Saturday of the GPAC Indoor Championships in Sioux Center, IA. It all gets started at 1pm.

The Tiger softball team will resume their tournament on Saturday. It’s the Nelson Family Bubble Tournament in Jamestown, ND. First, they will face Jamestown (ND), another Division II team, at 9am and then take on Bismarck State (ND) at 11am.

SDSU

The Jackrabbit basketball teams will both take the floor on Saturday afternoon. The women will hit the road and be in Denver, CO taking on Denver. They will tip off at 2pm and it will air on the Summit League Network. The men will remain home at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD. They’ll host North Dakota for Senior Day at 2pm and it will air on the Summit League Network.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing on Sunday this weekend. They’ll be hosting the Philadelphia 76ers at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. Tipoff is set for 6m on NBA League Pass.
