South Dakota Now Epicenter of Bird Flu Outbreak

MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota has become the nation’s epicenter of this season’s bird flu outbreak. Officials say nearly 420,000 turkeys have been euthanized to contain the virus, and blue-winged teal have been identified as carriers.
