South Dakota Officials Expect Strong Pheasant Season Following Record Harvest Last Year

PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Department is optimistic about this year’s pheasant season.  Its success depends on the brooding season for birds, which happens in spring and early summer.  Last year’s season saw the most birds harvested in ten years, and the Parks Department is hopeful that this year will be similar.  The official pheasant season starts tomorrow and ends on January 31st.
