South Dakota WIC Program Continues Without Disruption During Federal Government Shutdown

PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The South Dakota Department of Health says the WIC program for women, infants, and children, is operating as normal despite the ongoing federal government shutdown. According to a news release, Health Secretary Melissa Magstadt says there’s been no disruption to services and that families should continue attending scheduled appointments. The WIC program provides healthy foods, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support for families statewide. More information is available at sd.gov/wic.
