MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) After a public input meeting in Mitchell this week drew questions about roundabout safety, e-bike rules, and pedestrian access, state transportation officials are inviting residents to weigh in at upcoming sessions on South Dakota’s Active Transportation Plan. According to The Mitchell Republic, the next sessions will be November 4 in Rapid City and November 5 in Pierre. The statewide plan aims to improve safety and connectivity for walking, biking, and other non-motorized travel along state highways. Officials say feedback from the public will help shape project priorities and funding as the plan moves toward completion in winter 2025.
