Mitchell Hockey

The Mitchell Marlins hockey teams each have action this weekend. Each team will have a game today and tomorrow. Tonight, the girls (1-2) will be at Watertown, and the game will begin at 8pm and be played at the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. The boys (0-3) will be at Huron and also start at 8pm and they’ll play at Bergman Arena.

Mitchell Wrestling

The Kernel girls and boys wrestling teams will be competing in a triangular tonight. They will go to Tea Area to take on the Titans and Chamberlain. Boys and girls will begin at 5pm.

Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team is set to compete tomorrow afternoon on the road. They’ll be competing against Pierre at Pierre T.F. Riggs high school, and they will get started at 11am.

DWU Wrestling

The Tiger wrestling teams are both competing tomorrow but in different locations. The men will be at the Doane Open in the Crete, NE at the Haddix Center and begin at 9am. The women will be in Storm Lake, IA competing in the Beaver Open at the Lamberti Recreation Center and will also start at 9am.

DWU Volleyball

The No. 24 Tiger volleyball team had another dog fight on their hands last night, and it was another five set thriller. This time, it was the Tigers who prevailed with a win over No. 11 The Master’s, 3-2. DWU now awaits the results of the match today between No. 4 Concordia (NE) and No. 11 The Master’s to see if their season will continue.

DWU Track & Field

The Tiger track & field teams are both competing today in the SDSU Holiday Open in Brookings, SD. Start time for the men and the women is listed as 2:30pm.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams are both in action tomorrow afternoon on the road in Nebraska. They’ll each be in Seward, NE taking on Concordia (NE) at Friedrich Arena. The No. 14 Tiger women (5-3) will take on the No. 9 Bulldogs WBB (9-0) at 2pm. The Tiger men (5-5) will follow and take on No. 24 Bulldogs MBB (7-2) and begin at 3:45pm.

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit basketball teams will continue play tomorrow in the Big Sky – Summit Challenge. The (RV) Jackrabbit women (7-2) will be in Flagstaff, AZ taking on Northern Arizona (1-8) at 2pm MT/3pm CT. The Jackrabbit men (5-4) will host Idaho (5-3) at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD at 2pm and will air on the Summit League Network.

SDSU Football

The No. 14 Jackrabbit football team (9-3) has second round action in the 2025 FCS Playoffs tomorrow afternoon. They will take on No. 3 Montana (11-1) at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, MT at Noon MT/1pm CT and air on ESPN+.

NFL

Thursday Night Football went down last night between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions on Prime Video. The Cowboys tried their best to come back after trailing 20-9 at the half, but the Lions did not let up and took the win, 44-30.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves took on the New Orleans Pelicans for the second game in a row last night. It didn’t take overtime to decide a winner this time around and closed out with a Timberwolves win in regulation, 125-116. Julius Randle led Minnesota with 28 points and nine rebounds.
