Area Games

Tonight’s Basketball Games

Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams will be taking on Sioux Falls Roosevelt tomorrow. Girls teams are at home, and the boys teams are on the road at SF Roosevelt high school. Girls JV begins at 4pm, sophomore girls will be at 5:15pm and varsity girls begin at 7pm in the Mitchell high school. The freshman boys begin at 4pm, sophomores at 5:15pm and (RV) varsity boys end the night with their game beginning at 7pm.

DWU Wrestling

The Tiger men’s wrestling team is set to be in Sioux City, IA tomorrow night. They’ll be at Briar Cliff facing the Chargers at the Newman Flanagan Center beginning at 7pm.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves came away with a win last night against the San Antonio Spurs at home at the Target Center. They trailed 85-71 going into the fourth quarter and mounted a big comeback and won the fourth, 33-18 and came away with a 104-103 victory. Anthony Edwards led the way with 23 points, and he was one of six Wolves players in double figures scoring. Minnesota improved to 26-14 overall after the win.

NFL

The playoffs were in full swing over the weekend and the first round will come to a close tonight after Monday Night Football. It will feature the No. 5 Houston Texans at the No. 4 Pittsburgh Steelers playing in Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA. The kickoff is set for 7:15pm on ABC/ESPN.
