Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams are all in action tomorrow night in Mitchell. They’ll be in the Mitchell high school hosting Yankton. It’ll begin with boys and girls JV playing at 3:30pm with girls in the main gym and boys in the auxiliary gym. Followed by the sophomore games at 4:45pm with girls still in the main gym and boys in the auxiliary gym. The freshman boys’ game will be at 6pm in the auxiliary gym. Then of course varsity ends the night in the main gym with the girls playing first at 6pm and then the (RV) Kernel boys after starting at 7:30pm. 

Mitchell Wrestling

The Kernel wrestling teams are competing tonight. Both the girls and the boys will make their way to Harrisburg to compete in a Varsity Triangular at Harrisburg high school. Girls and boys start at 5pm. 

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams took on the Doane Tigers last night at the World’s Only Corn Palace. It was a blowout win from the No. 10 Tiger women’s basketball team as they cruise past Doane, 72-45. Emma Yost led with 20 points and Avery Broughton added 17 points and eight rebounds. The Tiger men took their game against Doane into overtime off a layup from Oliver Vincent to tie it at 59. But in OT, they were unable to muster enough offense and fell to Doane, 73-66.

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit men’s basketball team is getting back to game action tonight. They’re looking for a bounce back game after their overtime loss to North Dakota on Jan. 3 in Grand Ford, ND. Tomorrow they will host Denver at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD. Tipoff is at 7pm and will air on the Summit League Network & Midco Sports Two. 

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to be at home again tonight in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center. They’ll host the Cleveland Cavaliers with tipoff at 7pm and airing on NBA League Pass.
