Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team returns to the field tomorrow night. They will be out West in Spearfish to take on the Spartans. The game will begin at 6pm MT/7pm CT at Lyle Hare Stadium.

Mitchell Golf

The Kernel boys golf team gets to compete tomorrow morning. They will be on the road in Yankton at Yankton Fox Run Golf Course at 10am playing in a Varsity Invitational.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel girls tennis team is playing this afternoon. Mitchell is competing in a Varsity Dual on the road against Sioux Falls Washington at SF Washington high school at 4pm.

DWU Golf

The Tiger men’s golf team’s Connor Calahan has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference & NAIA Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. These awards come on the heels of his performance in the 2025 Blue River Classic. Where he posted a final score of 211, good for five under par. Placing him in third individually in the tournament. The placement made it back-to-back Top 3 placements to begin the season.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger women’s soccer team took on Nebraska Wesleyan at Abel Stadium last night. It was a close battle all night long for DWU and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Their third tie of the season and they are now 0-1-3 overall. Tomorrow, the men’s soccer team will host the South Dakota School of Mines in Mitchell. They will play at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex at 5pm.

DWU Volleyball

The Tiger volleyball team faced the Northwestern Red Raiders last night on the road. It was a rough go for Dakota Wesleyan against the Red Raiders, and they fell in straight sets, 3-0. They are now 7-5 overall.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels played their final game of the series yesterday afternoon. It was a tight final game, but the Angels prevailed in the end and won by a score of 4-3. Tonight, they are off and will return to action tomorrow.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx play their final game of the regular season tonight when they host the Golden State Valkyries. They will play at 7pm on NBATV.

NFL

Week two will begin in the NFL with Thursday Night Football tonight. It will be the Washington Commanders on the road at the Green Bay Packers. They will play at Lambeau Field at 7:15pm on Prime Video.
