Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams will be taking on Sioux Falls Roosevelt tonight in two different locations. Girls teams are at home, and the boys teams are on the road at SF Roosevelt high school. Girls JV begins at 4pm, sophomore girls will be at 5:15pm and varsity girls begin at 7pm in the Mitchell high school. The freshman boys begin at 4pm, sophomores at 5:15pm and (RV) varsity boys end the night with their game beginning at 7pm.

DWU Wrestling

The Tiger men’s wrestling team is set to be in Sioux City, IA tonight. They’ll be at Briar Cliff facing the Chargers at the Newman Flanagan Center beginning at 7pm.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams will be back home tomorrow night in Mitchell. They’ll be in the World’s Only Corn Palace hosting the Waldorf Warriors. Your No. 10 women’s basketball team will be starting at 5pm and then the men will play at 6:45pm. Additionally, DWU’s Randy Rosenquist Jr has been tabbed as the Defensive Player-of-the-Week in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. It marks the second consecutive week he has received the honor and third total time this season. Avery Brought was also named the Defensive Player-of-the-Week in the GPAC. Marking her second time with a weekly award this season, both defensive honors.

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit men’s basketball team will get back to the court tomorrow night. They’ll travel over to Fargo, ND to face the North Dakota State Bison. Tipoff will be at 7pm on the Summit League Network.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the road tonight for their next game. They’ll be in Milwaukee, WI taking on the Bucks at Fiserv Forum. Tipoff is at 7pm on NBA League Pass.

NFL

The Wild Card Round of the playoffs is now complete after the No. 5 seed Houston Texans battled with the No. 4 seed Pittsburgh Steelers last night. It was a dominant performance from Houston and its defense for its first road playoff win in franchise history beating Pittsburgh, 30-6. Playoffs will continue on Saturday with the Divisional Round.
