Sturgis Man Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash in Summerset, South Dakota

STURGIS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) An as of yet unidentified  man from Sturgis has died following a single-vehicle crash in Summerset. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the 70-year-old driver was heading west on Sturgis Road Friday when he struck a road sign, then a telephone pole after veering into a ditch. He was taken to a Rapid City hospital with life-threatening injuries and died Sunday. Authorities say the man was not wearing a seatbelt. For more crime stories from MitchellNow.com, click here.
