MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — NorthWestern Energy crews are in the Mitchell area doing maintenance work and inspections on utility poles.

Workers were spotted on Ohlman Street on Monday, some with shovels in hand, a couple of blocks north of Havens Avenue. The work will not cause power to be disrupted, but drivers should be cautious when passing through areas with crews present. Wearing neon green shirts, the linemen are easy to spot.

NorthWestern left automated voicemails with homeowners warning of the maintenance job last week The message does not specify how long they’ll be in Mitchell or the surrounding area. There is no mention of the project on the utility’s website.
