MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Water service will be shut off to homes on East 6th Avenue near Mentzer on Tuesday, so crews can finish valve replacements in the area.

The Mitchell Public Works Department expects service to be affected in the 900 and 1000 blocks of East 6th Avenue from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. They warn the schedule is tentative. Service could be restored earlier or later than anticipated depending on how the work progresses.
